Fish are friends not food

Hey y'all!
Sorry for the late email but me and sister fox got to go to the
aquarium and be prepared for tons of pictures, because we took tons!
Last week when we went to the beach with the Conway sisters and our
STL's, It was a blast! High lights of the week included a lot of
trying to find people. Funny story we went to a less active
members address to try and find them and they literally picked up
their house (trailer) and moved, there was an old shed and a broken
car where it said they lived, So i guess that's new! Sister fox and I
also caught a lizard, and were able to touch a shark and a jelly fish!
Other than that we are kind of in a teaching famine but the work is
progressing, I truly love this gospel and I testify to y'all that it
is true! And that the only way to find pure exceeding joy is to open
up the Book of Mormon and to live by what it says to follow our savior
Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is so remarkable and I am convinced
that it is the only book that can bring us pure joy in this life and
eternity! We are talking about salvation people! I love the gospel and
know without a shadow of a doubt that Joseph Smith restored the only
true church on the earth today! I testify of our savior he loves you
knows you by name and by circumstance and I know you will find joy by
following him!
In the name of our lord and savior who has given me everything and more
Amen
I love y'all bunches
Have a blessed week
Love,
Sister Maigan Lewis

A week full of Miracles!

Hey y'all
First off, I want y'all to know how much I love being a missionary and how much I love all of your support. It means the world to me to get your emails and letters about cool experiences you have had or just to hear how your doing!
This week has been a miracle in and of itself! When you are on the Lord's errand nothing is a coincidence! And I can promise that if you will look for miracles then they will come! So to start off this week, we had exchanges!! I went to Florence with Sister Edstrom and I am convinced we are almost the exact same person! It made me so sad when I realized that she goes home after this transfer, but we get to do another exchange in a couple of weeks. So all is well.  I learned so much from her and she is the best human ever! A lot of the things we did she would get in the car and say "Oh my goodness Sister Lewis, we are just seeing miracles today!" So I asked her about it and she told me that she had trouble seeing miracles, and even noticing that she was feeling the spirit at the beginning of her mission. But then she got the advice to start looking for miracles! And she ended up doing the same for me and oh my! You would not believe the miracles that y'all will start to see as soon as you start looking for them!
So we were able to find a new investigator for the STL's, 3 potential people for them, and we found a missionary opportunity during our service project the next morning! We also found out that sometimes when you talk to people, and they don't want you to continue talking to them, they just ignore you and hope that you go away. Which happens more than you would expect and more than I would like to admit!
We also had to end up dropping all of our people who were on date this week so that was a bummer, but the miracles never ceased! We ended up finding two new investigators who seem super solid and they are Kimberly and Shawn! Even in the times of a trial we can see miracles! Kimberly was someone we found by trusting in the lord, because we had gone by to see a potential investigator like two weeks ago and she wasn't interested. But then we got a referral for her from a past missionary so we went back and decided to knock around her and the second door we knocked on was her door! Finding MIRACLE!! We also got to stop by Brian and Peticia's house to help them clean their house and Briana their daughter was there so we ended up singing some hymns with her which was so funny because she didn't know the words so hopefully y'all can see the video I took! It was hilarious! I almost died laughing!
I also ended up getting sick so we went to the church to get me a priesthood blessing, One the elders had left their iPads on our car, so we are driving away... on a highway, and the top of the case flaps open. So Sister Fox hits the breaks and the iPad falls off the car and she runs it over. But then we get to the doctors office and like 10 minutes later the elders walk in. I just start laughing hysterically because I knew why they were there.., because we ran over their iPad! Just kidding they didn't even realize that! They came to make sure I was okay!
Anyway I love being a missionary! I love the gospel! I know that as you put your faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ he is going to deliver us out of pain and out of affliction! I can also promise y'all that as you look for blessings you will see them and realize just about how many you see and get daily!
I love y'all
Be Blessed!!
Love,
Sister Lewis

Happy Chinese New year!

Hello Family and friends,
This week has been crazy and the miracles have not ceased! Being a missionary is the greatest thing in the world and I love it!
So,  to start off with this week Sister Fox and I got to go see Quincy. When we went to his house his mom told us that this would probably be the last time that we get to see him, which was a bummer, but when we told Quincy that he started crying. We then asked his mom to help us understand what is going on. She told us that her life has been very very hectic, and they are going through a lot of family issues. I think we really helped ease her burdens a little bit. She ended up allowing us come back over in a week, so that she has time to talk to her family and to help them. We will be going back on Tuesday to visit, and we are really excited! This is truly a miracle, she was dead set on us not coming back. The spirit can do amazing things!
Next we had a conference this week in North Charelston and on the way there the member that we had taking us got lost because our GPS died in the car! We ended up getting there like 15 minutes late but we still made it! That was miracle #2
We were able to go to dinner with some of the members and a less active member this week. The less ative member is coming back to church and when we went over to their house their little boy kept yelling "THE PROPHETS ARE COMING THE PROPHETS ARE COMING." So we looked at Brother Benson and he just shrugged his sholdures and said... "It's too cute to correct him" So that was the high light of the week.
Another highlight was PETICIA FINALLY HAVING HER BABY!!! We got to go visit her in the hospital and see him and he is just the cutest thing!! He looks like a 5 month old so there's that! THAT WAS DEFINITLEY A MIRACLE! Especially because their little family is just the best! I wish all of you could feel the love that I have for them! I think by now Sister Fox and I are a part of the family! According to their daughter Briana, I am Ana and Sister Fox is Elsa.
We ended up having to change our lisence plate and we didn't have a screw driver, so yesterday we went to this house to see if a member of the ward lived there. And this guy pulls up in his truck so we walked over to see if he knew who we were looking for. He didn't but he did have a screwdriver, so we as missionaries politely asked/ stated "Hey.. Do you have a screw driver... you look like a guy with a screw driver?" And he looking confused said "yes.... what kind do you need?" Any way long story short that is the story about how a random guy was nice enough to change our lisence plate for us.., Also HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!
I know the gospel is true I encourage all of you to learn it, live it, and proclaim it!
Have a Blessed week
I Love you all!
Love,
Sister Lewis
